🎯 Objective
Collect the most cards by the time the deck runs out.
🃏 High Card Setup & Rules
- Shuffle a standard 52-card deck.
- Deal all cards face-down equally among players.
- Each player holds their stack face-down without looking.
▶ How to Play High Card
- All players simultaneously flip the top card of their stack to the centre.
- The player whose card has the highest rank wins all the cards played that turn.
- In a tie, all tied players flip one more card — highest of those wins everything.
- Won cards are added to the bottom of the winner's stack.
- Play continues until one player has all the cards or a set number of rounds is reached.
📖 Detailed Guide
Setting up your table
- From the game menu choose High Card, then pick 2–6 seats. Fill empty seats with AI players using "+ Add AI Player" and set each one's difficulty.
- Set "Max Points" — the match target. The first player to reach it wins the whole match, so a higher target means a longer game.
- Tap "Start Game" to shuffle and deal. The deck is split face-down as evenly as possible; nobody looks at their cards.
Playing a round
- Every player flips the top card of their stack to the centre at the same time — in the app, just tap your stack when prompted.
- Cards rank Ace high down to 2 low. The highest rank wins every card flipped this round; suits don't matter unless your table enables suit tie-breaks.
- Won cards go under the winner's stack, and the score for the round is added automatically.
Ties and wars
- If two or more players tie for highest, only the tied players flip again — a "war." The winner of the war takes everything on the table, including the tied cards.
- Wars can chain: another tie means another flip. Big wars are where matches swing.
Winning the match
- When the deck runs out the round ends and the app shows the Round Complete summary with everyone's totals.
- Rounds repeat until someone reaches the Max Points target set at the table — they win the match.
📊 High Card Scoring
